WIRELESS CONTROL - SensiNet System - Applications


Industrial manufacturing operations require rugged and dependable process measurements able to communicate with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) via standardized protocols such as Modbus. These operations increasingly find the need for additional sensors for regulatory compliance and process optimization and the extraordinary cost of wiring makes the use of emerging wireless sensor systems attractive, especially those systems able to integrate seamlessly with these legacy systems.


Wireless Sensors fills this need with innovative wireless sensors based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. These systems are especially well suited to temperature and humidity measurements in harsh industrial environments such as Steel, Aluminum and other thermal processing operations. Our product family is suited for applications requiring transmission distances from a few hundred feet to many miles using 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz transmission frequencies and is:

1. Standards Compliant
Modbus communications for integration with legacy control and monitoring systems and IEEE 802.15.4 radio transmission protocol ensures system compatibility. Wireless Sensors is also committed to support the ISA 100 protocol standard for sensor level interoperability (Q2 2012)and our unique LD 110 (Long Distance)wirelessly supports the HART Communication protocol.

Choose between general purpose and weatherproof enclosures for harsh industrial environments.

3. Flexible
Our building block architecture allows you to start small and add as you needs grow without replacing components.

Mix and match sensor nodes to accommodate temperature, humidity contact closures and analog signals from third party transmitters.

 Our unique LD110 system will even power a remote transmitter allowing any 4-20mA transmitter to become wireless.

4. Reliable

Multipath mesh topology provides redundant signal paths for failsafe operation and our frequency hopping protocol resists interference, null zones and destructive reflections.

Multi-hop technology allows signal repeating for range extension or transmission around obstructions.

Our self healing technology corrects upsets due to mobile obstructions, hardware failure or other temporary conditions.
